Soundwaves is a unique indoor water park located in Nashville, about an hour south of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The water park is on the Gaylord Opryland Hotel grounds and features an indoor and outdoor water attraction like no other.

The indoor water park is 111,000 square feet and with a water temperature of 84 degrees year round. They have 10 different attractions indoors such as the Stage Dive, Rapid Remix, Lazy Rivers and activity pools for the younger ones. This indoor park is one of the best in the area close to Kentucky.

Big Splash Adventure Water Park

Big Splash Adventure is a 40,000 square foot indoor water park located an hour north of Kentucky in French Lick, Indiana. It features a lot of different water attractions inside the water park. The three story Buccaneer Bay will keep kids of all ages entertained with the different interactive things to play. The Splish Splash pool is perfect for toddlers and young kids and offers a shallow area for them to play along with swings and slides.

If you are staying at French Lick or just traveling in the area, it’s a short hour drive from Owensboro or Louisville.

Great Wolf Resorts Indoor Water Park

Great Wolf Resorts Indoor Water Park is a large chain of indoor water parks with the closet location to Kentucky in Mason, Ohio. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Covington, Kentucky to Mason, Ohio.

    I wonder if anyone actually visits these places before copying and pasting a description for an article. The first one on the list has been closed for probably close to 10 years now. I actually made reservations there several years ago after reading a similar article only to find it was no longer in operation. Just fyi
